‘Piak Poster’, the National Artist who painted more than 1,000 Thai film posters before becoming one of the country's most celebrated directors, passed away peacefully of old age on Sept 24. He was 93.

Somboonsuk Niyomsiri, the Thai National Artist better known by his professional name, Piak Poster, died peacefully on Sept 24 at the age of 93. He painted more than 1,000 Thai film posters before becoming one of the country’s most celebrated directors.
